SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
Provide community relations and stakeholder engagement strategy for the Nevada Projects. The community relations manager will be the principal ambassador for AGA, addressing internal audiences and the public to share AGA’s vision and plans for achieving it.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Develop a holistic community and external stakeholder engagement strategy that encompasses and aligns Anglo’s values within the communities we work and reside.
- Participate and partner with Anglo’s environmental department to understand important local, state and federal issues relating our social license to operate.
- Organize community outreach programs and coordinate special events that promote products, services, and ideas of the company.
- Draft and distribute communications that promote the company as well as individuals and groups within it.
- Attend relevant events and activities to represent the company and build strong relationships with key community members.
- Respond to inquiries from community members and other parties and recruit knowledgeable spokespeople or information sources for assistance when needed.
- Build and promote cross-functional relationships within the company.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute public press conferences, working with third-party PR agencies when necessary.
- Manage social media content and virtual groups to enhance the company’s online profile.
Technical Competencies:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office software (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Microsoft Teams.

- Serve as a mentor to junior staff members and assist with their professional development to ensure alignment with the company’s strategic initiatives.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in public relations, communications, English, journalism, or related field.
- Minimum five (5) years of work experience in community and government affairs.
- Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Successful completion of course in advertising, business administration, fundraising, public affairs, public speaking, or creative or technical writing.
- Prior experience in natural resources/extractive industries preferred.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements.
COMPENSATION:
Base Salary Range $135,000 -$145,000
