 In Australia we own and manage the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, and the Tropicana Gold Mine (70% AGA owned 30% Regis Resources). These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.


 We are now seeking a Process Technician: Day Operator to join our Processing team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. This role is based on a continuous 8/6 dayshift roster FIFO from Perth.

Accountable to the Processing Shift Supervisor, this role is responsible for safely providing support to the Processing team in the operation and housekeeping of the processing plant and its associated facilities. 

 

Accountabilities 

  • Performing tasks while minimising exposure to health, safety and environmental risks
  • Carry out duties including, amongst others, reagent preparation & processing plant deliveries, routine plant performance monitoring, sampling, log keeping, circuit inspections, and general housekeeping
  • Operation of mobile equipment including, Light vehicles, IT loader, skid steer loader and forklifts
  • Assist and support in the operation of the Tailings Storage Facility
  • Provide support to the Processing team by operating designated fixed plant infrastructure as required
  • Provide applicable relief coverage for the Process Technician team as required

  • Previous experience or exposure to a minerals processing plant is highly regarded but not essential
  • Solid work ethic and attention to detail
  • A demonstrated mechanical aptitude
  • Sound verbal/written communication skills
  • Sound computer literacy – Microsoft Office
  • Display good trouble solving skills
  • Competent to operate small mobile equipment such as a front-end loader, forklift and skid steer
  • Flexibility to adapt to improved procedures and practices
  • Strong commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement
  • Current WA C Class Drivers Licence
  • A National Police Clearance
  • Permanent work rights in Australia
