We are now seeking a Co-Ordinator: End User Support to join our Digital Technology team. This permanent role is primarily based at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth or Kalgoorlie.

Accountable to the Superintendent Infrastructure and End User Support, this role is responsible for service ticket resolution and the onsite service and support needs for all AGA users. This relates to all technology, including desktop applications, workstations, servers, printers, networks, and telephones. General accountabilities will include but not be limited to participate in formal Health & Safety meetings with team and report any weaknesses in the environmental procedures, attend all scheduled and assigned environmental training meetings.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Provide first-line support by responding to the users request or reported incidents.
  • Responsible for providing onsite support, which includes identifying the faults related to hardware, software, configuration, networking, telecom, etc.
  • Perform system installation functions that include security systems installation e.g. Antivirus and patches.
  • Records all the related departmental and field activities that have been carried out in the service desk system.
  • Properly escalate unresolved issues to appropriate internal teams
  • Assist in the reviews of technical issues.
  • Participate in various Digital Technology projects and ensure that all the departmental goals have been met or exceeded by maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain positive relationships with users.
  • Adherence to all Cyber Safety requirements (e.g. patching etc)
  • Chaperoning of vendors and external support as needed

About You

  • Experience in supporting Microsoft products & related technologies.
  • Knowledge or proven skills in troubleshooting PC, local area networking (LAN), mobile devices, VOIP and other tech products
  • Ability to install and configure wireless devices and telephony systems is a plus.
  • Knowledge in the use of SAP ERP system is a plus.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, (written and verbally) with peers, management, and contractors.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Self-starter, with the ability to work both with a team or independently.
  • Working with diverse communities and groups.
  • Excellent written, oral communication, report-writing and technical documentation skills
  • Ability to drive a vehicle with a valid manual driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to work afterhours, weekends and holidays.
  • Proven work experience as a Technical Support Engineer, Desktop Support Engineer, IT Help Desk Technician, or similar role
