ABOUT GEITA GOLD MINING LTD

Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To conduct grab and face sample collections, facilitate and participate in sample preparation and submission to SGS laboratory for analysis to metal content and characteristics

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Promote a strong safety culture by identifying workplace hazards and maintaining compliance with site safety standards before undertaking any task.
• Execute grade control sampling activities for underground operations and the core shed in accordance with established procedures.
• Collect, prepare, bag, and label ROMPAD grab, RC, and face samples accurately to ensure sample integrity and compliance.
• Conduct core mark-up and sampling of diamond-drilled grade control core, and assist with sample bag preparation in the geology core shed.
• Monitor and manage material movement from underground to the ROMPAD, ensuring correct stockpile separation, grade classification, truck sampling, and truck counting.
• Maintain accurate and accessible sample sheets, dispatch records, and supporting documentation for future reference and audit purposes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Minimum of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE).
• Able to pass security clearance.
• Possession of valid driving license as added advantage.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• At least two years’ experience in related roles.
• Able to communicate and report writing in English or Kiswahili.
• Must be physically fit to work in underground mining environment.
• Coordination, and communication skills
