ABOUT GEITA GOLD MINING LTD

Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To support Mine geology Open Pit production activities by understanding the controls of mineralization, orebody style and dimensions for optimization of mineable ore block shape and mining technique to minimize dilution and ore loss.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Conduct daily pit face inspections to identify structural features, vein orientations, and lithological boundaries that may impact grade control.
• Update bench maps and digital mapping tools with new geological observations, ensuring clear and accurate geological continuity.
• Produce quick geological sketches and strip logs to support shift‑based decision‑making.
• Perform regular checks on field sampling points to ensure adherence to QA/QC and contamination‑prevention protocols.
• Assist in performing field duplicates, grab samples, and spot checks for grade variation analysis.
• Maintain orderly sample tracking logs and ensure all collected samples are transferred on time and with full documentation
• Track ore movements across benches and at loading points to ensure that ore and waste boundaries are respected.
• Verify that truck loads correspond to the correct material type (ore/waste/marginal) and destination.
• Participate in ROM pad inspections to confirm correct stockpile blending and minimize misclassification
• Assist with logging chip samples and RC samples, ensuring accurate lithological, mineralogical, and structural recording.
• Support daily reconciliation of drillhole data, face mapping, and mining boundaries to ensure the grade control model remains current.
• Report any unexpected grade distribution, dilution risk, or unplanned geological variation immediately

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Geology or Geoscience related field from a recognized Institution
• Valid Tanzanian Driving license class D or above

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• At least two (2) Year experience in OP or UG mining environment
• Geological Mapping skills
• Computer Skills like MS Excel, MS word, PowerPoint
• Ore control management
• RC drilling supervision
