ABOUT GEITA GOLD MINING LTD

Geita Gold Mining Ltd (GGML) is Tanzania’s leading gold producer with a single operation in Geita Region. The company is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti, an international gold producer headquartered in South Africa, with operations in more than ten countries, in four continents. The mine is situated in the Lake Victoria Gold fields of Northwestern Tanzania, only about 85 km’s from Mwanza City and 20 km’s Southeast of the nearest point of Lake Victoria. OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

The purpose of this role is to operate a dump truck in support of mining operations, conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on the equipment, and ensure work is carried out according to plan while strictly adhering to safety protocols and practices.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Operate dump trucks in line with standard operating procedures
• Conduct pre-start inspections and ensure equipment is in safe working condition
• Follow haulage instructions and production plans
• Maintain safe speeds and comply with traffic management rules
• Report breakdowns, delays, or safety concerns promptly
• Working closely with dispatches, supervisors, and other operators to ensure smooth operations
• Identifying and reporting hazards, equipment issues, or unsafe conditions
• Support a strong teamwork and safety culture

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Completion of Secondary School Education.
• The incumbent must have a valid Tanzanian driving license class C, D, E & F.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

• A minimum of 2-5 years of working experience in Mining or related field.
• Experience operating dump trucks or heavy mobile equipment
• Basic understanding of mining operations and safety procedures
• Ability to work in shift-based mining environments
• High level of discipline and responsibility
• Ability to work under pressure in a production environment
• Good communication and teamwork skills
