OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

The Manager, Supply Chain TCO will serve as the global Subject Matter Expert (SME) and lead the end-to-end deployment of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) external spend supply chain programs across all AngloGold Ashanti operating properties. This role is responsible for driving sustainable cost optimization, establishing robust TCO program governance, defining QA/QC standards, and embedding TCO playbooks across site and regional teams.  Working in close coordination with site Operations (OPS), site Finance, Supply Chain leadership, and the Full Asset Potential (FAP) corporate, regional, and site teams, the incumbent will lead cross-functional workshops, design capability building/training programs, and systematically unlock value across AGA mining operations.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• TCO Program Deployment: Lead the strategy, rollout, and execution of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) programs for external spend across global AngloGold Ashanti mine sites and operating properties.
• Governance & SME Leadership: Act as the global Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Supply Chain TCO governance, rule sets, guidelines, and methodology playbooks.
• Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC): Establish and maintain rigorous QA/QC standards to validate TCO baselines, financial models, savings targets, and value realization assumptions.
• Opportunity Identification: Proactively analyze supply chain spend, operational dependencies, and vendor costs to discover and structure high-impact TCO cost-optimization opportunities.
• Workshop Facilitation & Engagement: Plan, conduct, and facilitate multi-day TCO alignment workshops and continuous improvement working sessions with key stakeholders across site operations, maintenance, finance, and supply chain.
• Capability Building & Training: Design and execute training, coaching, and onboarding modules to embed TCO capabilities and playbook execution across local site leadership and operational teams.
• FAP Program Alignment: Coordinate closely with the Full Asset Potential (FAP) site, regional, and corporate teams to align TCO opportunity pipelines, delivery timelines, and target financial benefits with broader asset optimization plans.
• Cross-Functional Change Management: Drive organizational change management by building strong buy-in among site GMs, site finance, and site operations leadership to transition from unit-cost focus to full lifecycle cost management.
• Performance Tracking & Executive Reporting: Maintain tracking tools and synthesize complex program analytics into executive-ready presentations, dashboards, and reporting cadence for senior leadership.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification 

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related discipline; MBA or Equivalent advanced degree strongly preferred
• Prior experience in top-tier or Big 4 consulting is highly desirable.

 Experience

• Experience in ming and/or Oil & Gas preferred
• 10+ years of progressive experience in Supply Chain Operation, management consulting strategy, PMO, or large-scale transformation roles within complex, matrixed organizations.
• Mining Industry Experience Required: Deep structural understanding of mining operations, site processing, equipment maintenance, and field-level supply chain dynamics.
• Proven track record of structuring and deploying TCO, external spend optimization, or large-scale cost management programs across multiple sites.
• Demonstrated leadership in leading cross-functional change management efforts in matrixed global environments.

Knowledge & Skills

• TCO Expertise: Mastery of Total Cost of Ownership methodologies, spend analytics, cost modeling, vendor cost structures, and lifecycle costing frameworks.
• Project & Governance Management: Strong project management and QA/QC skills with a track record of implementing program governance frameworks and operational playbooks.
• Analytical Skills: Advanced data analysis skills (Excel, financial modeling, spend dashboards) to evaluate complex data sets and translate them into actionable operational insights.
• Workshop Facilitation: Proven ability to structure and host interactive, high-impact technical and commercial workshops with site personnel.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills with demonstrated credibility when engaging both site-level operational technicians and executive leadership.
• Strong influence management and change enablement capabilities to align competing priorities between site finance, operations, and supply chain.
• Self-directed and proactive problem-solver capable of managing multiple complex site rollouts concurrently.
