OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Senior Specialist – Finance Business Partner to support strategic decision-making by translating business strategy into actionable financial insights. This role partners closely with senior stakeholders to drive performance, cost leadership, and value delivery across the organization.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Act as finance lead for a function, providing decision support and scenario analysis
• Lead monthly performance cycles, variance analysis, and rolling forecasts
• Drive cost optimisation, benchmarking, and value-for-money initiatives
• Track benefits realisation and support portfolio prioritisation
• Deliver executive-ready reporting and insights aligned to Group performance
• Ensure strong governance, controls, and “single source of truth” reporting
• Build strong stakeholder relationships and influence decision-making

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Economics. Professional designation: CA (e.g., CA(SA)/ACCA/CPA) or CIMA (CGMA) is advantageous.
• Certification or proven proficiency with SAP FI/CO and certification/working familiarity with TM1/Planning Analytics, HFM, Workiva (WDesk), EPMWare/FDMEE, and Power BI (or equivalent BI).

Experience

• 8+ years’ progressive finance experience, including executive-level business partnering
• Proven experience in performance management, forecasting, and cost leadership
• Experience with SAP, TM1/Planning Analytics, HFM, and BI tools
• Mining or manufacturing sector experience advantageous

Knowledge & Skills

• Planning & Performance: Driver-based forecasting, variance analysis, and performance tracking
• Cost & Value Optimization: Budgeting, benchmarking, and efficiency improvement
• Service Costing: Cost allocation principles and service-based costing models
• Governance & Controls: DoA, ICFR, SOX, and financial compliance
• Financial Reporting: IFRS with understanding of consolidation principles
• Systems & Data: SAP, TM1, HFM, Workiva, BI tools, and data governance
• KPI & Analytics: Performance metrics, dashboards, and insights generation
• Portfolio Management: Business cases, benefits tracking, and value realisation
• Commercial Acumen: Understanding of cost drivers, FX, inflation, and multi-site operations
