OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
AngloGold Ashanti is seeking a Category Specialist – Fuels & Lubricants to support sourcing strategies and supplier performance across this critical spend category. You will help drive cost optimisation, supplier value, and operational efficiency.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Support development and execution of Fuels & Lubricants category strategies
- Assist with supplier negotiations, contract management, and sourcing activities
- Conduct market analysis, benchmarking, and should-cost modelling
- Support tender processes and ensure SOX-compliant documentation
- Analyse spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities
- Contribute to reporting, business cases, and category insights
- Drive supplier performance and continuous improvement initiatives
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
- Bachelor’s degree in business or related field
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- 3+ years’ experience in procurement, category management, or commercial analysis
- Experience in fuels, lubricants, or related categories advantageous
- Category management and sourcing
- Spend analysis and cost optimisation
- Supplier and contract management
- Stakeholder engagement and problem-solving
- SAP and Microsoft Office proficiency
