OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
As a System Support Analyst – SAP PM within the Asset Management department. You will deliver end-to-end SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) supportive solutions, focusing on system design, User Acceptance Testing (UAT), and user enablement to enhance business processes across all AngloGold Ashanti Africa sites.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- System & Technical Design: Act as the conduit between site operations and the global oneERP/Solutions team; translate functional business requirements into technical specifications for system changes. [1]
- UAT & Release Management: Perform unit acceptance testing in EQ1, collaborate with third-party support (Accenture), and socialise monthly system release changes with site teams.
- Master Data & Budgeting: Drive continuous improvement of SAP PM master data to enable automation; monitor TM1 HME integration to inform accurate short-term budgeting processes.
- User Support & Security: Own end-user incidents via ServiceNow and SysAid, manage user profiles (PIDs, variants), and activate access requests through GRC.
- Training & Enablement: Conduct skills gap assessments across sites, deliver one-on-one coaching, and identify and develop a dedicated SAP Superuser at each site.
- Process Compliance: Drive strict compliance with the core Work Management process (planning, scheduling, execution, and feedback) using target metrics and transaction spot checks.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
- Tertiary qualification in an Engineering discipline.
- SAP PM Certification is required.
Experience, Knowledge and Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience with SAP PM
- Experience with SAP MM is highly advantageous.
- Sound understanding of heavy industry asset management principles, risk/change management, and the mining value chain.
- Willingness and preparedness to undertake international business travel as required
