We are currently seeking an experienced DT Network Support Specialist to join the Digital Technology/Infrastructure team in the Perth office.

Reporting to the Superintendent of IT Support, this role is a Monday to Friday roster.  Other flexible roster arrangements will also be considered.
 

The role purpose is to provide a service to all information employees and is pivotal to AngloGold Ashanti company productivity and success.  Offering efficient delivery of IT whilst maintaining infrastructure support and an escalation path for incidents and requests.
 

Accountabilities:

• Offer prompt response to network infrastructure incidents, requests and services
• Ensure compliance with DT policies and network infrastructure best practises and procedures
• Maintain constructive relationships with AGA colleagues and service providers
• Provide a safe work environment for self and peers and support compliance to HSE standards
• Stay abreast of latest technology and position its possible impact of value opportunities for areas of accountability.
• Resolution of Network infrastructure calls from End User Support, Applications and Platforms and regional project teams and shared services.
• Support planning of DT and for various site projects.
• Contribute to network design, architecture and configuration of technical infrastructure projects.
• Optimisation of existing network infrastructure services through identification and implementation of solutions to reduce time and cost and or increase output of existing functions and/or delivery of new services to the business
• Assist in the planning and execution of disaster recovery capability for the site and region as required.
• Adherence to all Cyber Safety requirements (e.g. patching etc) and address identified risks
• On-call support for after hours, high priority incidents

About You

• Tertiary qualification in IT OR equivalent skills and experience i.e.  CCNA/CCNP etc.
• Formal qualifications in Cyber Security related discipline – Will be an advantage
• 5+ years’ experience implementing, support and administering ICT infrastructure such as LAN networks, Cisco AP's, Voice Gateways, LTE, and associated systems (e.g. telephones etc).
• Previous exposure to relevant security technologies, including firewalls, ISE.
• Experience in working with SD WAN technologies and vendors
• Knowledge of Mining OT technologies such as PTP, PTMP, Digital Drift and exposure to Voice Radio systems will be an advantage.
• Demonstrated project experience with network design, configuration, and disaster recovery.
• Experience working with diverse cultures in global company.
• Ability to multi-task, and manage competing priorities, effectively in a changing environment and within defined timelines is critical
• Excellent communication and resourceful customer service skills
