About us
At AngloGold Ashanti, we pride ourselves on having a collaborative workplace that is focused on providing a safe and inclusive environment for all. We want to create an environment where people feel comfortable to bring their whole, authentic self to work and feel safe, respected, and valued while doing so.
AngloGold Ashanti is one of the world's largest gold producers with operations and projects spanning across four continents. Our globally diverse, world-class portfolio is supported by focused exploration in the established and new gold producing regions of the world. We offer a working environment that allows every employee to contribute, learn and flourish.
In Australia we own and manage the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, and the Tropicana Gold Mine (70% AGA owned 30% Regis Resources). These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.
The Opportunity

With this in mind, if you feel that you may not tick all of the boxes below but believe you have something unique to contribute to our team, we strongly encourage you to apply – let’s have the conversation.
We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance Planning team at the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine Processing Plant. Reporting to the Maintenance Planning Superintendent, this permanent role is offered on an 8/6 or 4/3 FIFO roster from Perth. Direct charter flights to and from Sunrise Dam are provided.
Accountabilities:
Are you a proactive planner who thrives on turning maintenance strategy into smooth, reliable execution? Join our team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine as an Electrical Maintenance Planner and play a key role in keeping our Processing Plant running at its best.
In this role, you’ll work alongside Maintenance Coordinators and the Planning Superintendent to turn plans into action — creating detailed work packages that keep our equipment performing at peak reliability. You’ll help shape our asset management strategy, making sure every piece of equipment and system is maintained efficiently and effectively.
Your days will be spent planning ahead, eliminating delays before they happen, and helping our teams work smarter, not harder. You’ll be the go-to link between Maintenance, Operations, and other departments — ensuring that maintenance is delivered safely, on time, and to a high standard.
You’ll also optimise preventive maintenance schedules, coordinate condition monitoring activities, and prepare everything from work orders and procedures to service contracts and task schedules. Leading weekly planning meetings and collaborating with suppliers and contractors will be a regular part of your rhythm, as will maintaining accurate data in SAP to keep everything running smoothly behind the scenes.
At Sunrise Dam, collaboration and continuous improvement are part of our DNA. You’ll work closely with the Supply Chain, Maintenance, and other teams to refine our Work Management processes — helping us achieve the right balance between operational output and long-term reliability.
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered, we would like to see you have:
You’ll bring a strong mix of technical know-how and practical experience to the team. Ideally, you have:
- Solid experience in maintenance planning, with hands-on use of SAP or similar CMMS systems.
- A background in maintaining industrial processing equipment — you know what it takes to keep big machines running smoothly.
- Mining or heavy industry experience, so you’re comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-reliability environment.
- Some exposure to project scheduling tools such as Primavera or MS Project.
- An electrical trade or technical background, giving you the insight to plan effectively for complex maintenance tasks.
- A valid WA ‘C’ Class Driver’s Licence.
