We are currently seeking a Senior Technician Mine Geology to join our Open Pit Mine Geology team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine. Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist, this role is responsible for supporting ore control activities, monitoring mining performance, and maintaining effective communication between geology and mining teams.
This role is offered on an 8/6 FIFO roster, with direct flights provided to site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.
About the Role
- Be an active safety leader and promote safe work practices
- Monitor mining activities and support ore control processes
- Attend daily production and planning meetings
- Validate production and material movement data
- Maintain ore stockpiles and minimise ore loss and dilution
- Support blasting, grade control drilling and sampling activities
- Assist with geological mapping and hazard identification
- Prepare operational and QAQC reports
- Provide training and mentoring to team members
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
About You

- Experience in open pit mining and mine geology
- Understanding of ore control and mining processes
- Experience in a production mining environment
- Strong data management and reporting skills
- Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and continuous improvement
- Experience with grade control drilling, stockpile management or geological mapping (desirable)
- Experience mentoring or training others (desirable)
- A commitment to working in line with AGA's values and contributing to a positive team culture
- Current and ongoing valid permanent work rights in Australia (mandatory)
