Join our team in Mackay, Queensland as a Supervisor, supporting our dedicated team on-site. You'll work on a 16-days-on, 12-days-off roster alongside another supervisor, dividing your time between field trips and office/yard operations.

What you’ll be doing

In this role, you will coordinate day-to-day field operations for our exploration projects. Your responsibilities will include leading field teams, ensuring safety compliance, handling logistics, and supporting geological data collection and reporting. Strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, practical field experience, and the ability to thrive in remote and demanding environments are essential for success in this position.

Supervising daily field tasks, such as soil and stream sediment sample collection, supporting environmental and heritage surveys and liaising with pastoralists and landowners are the core responsibilities. Upholding a positive company image in local communities and adhering to regulatory standards are fundamental. Managing logistics, including camp setup, transportation, and equipment maintenance, is vital. Maintaining project timelines and quality standards through contractor liaison is a key aspect.

Resolving field challenges promptly to minimize disruptions and risks is crucial. Keeping accurate field records and reports is essential for project success. Training and guiding junior staff and local hires is integral to team development.

What you’ll need

By now, you’ll have gathered that you’ll need to bring a few things along with your expertise.

At least 5 years of experience in the exploration industry at an operational level, including supervisory roles and managing exploration programs, is essential for this opportunity. Your expertise will be crucial in contributing to ongoing exploration projects.

The ideal candidates will possess a Queensland Board of Examiners Site Senior Executive qualification. Join us in this dynamic role where your skills and expertise make a difference every day.
