OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

To support supervisors in supervising operators and attendants to ensure daily targets are achieved at the crushing plant.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Ensure safety work permits are properly completed and lock out procedures are followed before work starts.
• Carry out allocated maintenance work within required time frames to keep the plant running and support production targets.
• Install and repair mechanical components to maintain reliable plant operation and minimise downtime.
• Clean and lubricate machinery components as part of routine maintenance activities.
• Monitor plant maintenance needs and report shortages of spares promptly.
• Support safe, reliable and quality crusher plant operations through effective task execution.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• O’ level, A’ level, Middle School Leaving Certificate,NVTI,SSCE,HND or its equivalent.
• Computer literacy.

Experience

• Minimum of 4-6 years’ experience in processing plant operations.
• Experience in planning and organisation of crusher operations.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of maintenance practices involving material handling systems, including hands on experience with crushers and conveyors.
• Good knowledge of crusher plant operations and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining quality of work.
• Good interpersonal, written and communication skills.
• Must be medically fit for the position and the environment.
• Valid driver’s license with proficiency in driving a light vehicle.
