OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

 

To identify, develop and deliver the programs and plans required to effectively communicate and promote AGA’s interests and initiatives across internal AGA operations, local and regional communities, policymakers, Government departments and business interests

 

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Coordinate communications activities and company events including advising management regarding appropriate protocols when hosting events.
  • Research and write press releases, and content for the company website, infographics, social media pages, magazines and newsletters.
  • Coordinate company participation and branding in all global and national image building events, conferences, exhibitions, workshops, and awards.
  • Build on existing and develop new external stakeholder and policy-maker relationships to promote the AGA brand.
  • Undertake research and advise management on all matters relating to communication.
  • Benchmark and supervise the production of all company brand materials, including calendars and diaries.
  • Research for relevant information affecting the industry and provides internal communications to management in an appropriate format to support informed decision making.

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

Education & Qualification

  • Degree in Strategic Communication, Journalism, and Development of Communication or International Relations.
  • Member of the Institute of Public Relations (IPR) Ghana.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills

  • Minimum of 6 years' working experience in similar or higher roles.
  • Mastery in Microsoft Office (Publisher, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc
  • Strong communication skills both in oral and written.
  • Strong Negotiation skills.
  • Excellent Public Speaking Skills.
  • Creative Thinker
