ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI (IDUAPRIEM) LIMITED (A subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti Limited) operate the combine Teberebie and Iduapriem open-pits gold mines at Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana and has a work force of over 1400, including contractors.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

Lead the security control room to maintain a safe and secure environment through continuous monitoring, incident coordination, and protocol enforcement in line with human rights and VPSHR.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Lead and supervise control room operators and security personnel, including shift scheduling and performance management.
• Monitor CCTV, access control, and alarms to detect and respond to incidents in real time.
• Review footage and access logs; prepare detailed incident reports, maintain logs, and issue SITREPs, escalating as required.
• Coordinate security, safety, and emergency responses with internal teams and external agencies.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations; develop and improve control room protocols.
• Conduct staff training and routine system checks; manage access control, visitor management, and patrol coordination.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Senior High School diploma or equivalent; certifications in security management, CCTV, access control, or first aid are advantageous.

Experience

• 3-5 years’ experience in a control room, CCTV monitoring, or supervisory role.

Knowledge & Skills

• Leadership and decision-making under pressure; strong knowledge of CCTV, access control, and alarm monitoring.
• Understanding of security principles, incident management, emergency response, and footage review.
• Clear written and verbal communication; proficient report writing and documentation.
• Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 environment; clean criminal record and ability to pass background checks.
• Proficiency with security software, reporting tools, and CCTV or access control platforms; valid Ghanaian Driving Licence and ability to drive a light vehicle.
