In Australia we own and manage the Sunrise Dam Gold Mine, and the Tropicana Gold Mine (70% AGA owned 30% Regis Resources). These are two of Western Australia’s premier gold operations, with ongoing investment and exploration taking place across both open pit and underground operations at each site.
We are seeking a highly passionate and driven HR Advisor to join our team on 4 days on, 3 days off (or variant) roster rotating across both our operations. Reporting to the Superintendent: HR Business Partnering, this role works collaboratively across operational sites, providing generalist HR support and contributing to the implementation of effective people initiatives. This role plays a key part in ensuring consistent HR practices and fostering a positive employee experience.
Accountabilities
- Providing effective HR advice to employees and people leaders.
- Supporting performance management, disciplinary processes, and other core HR activities.
- Building strong, trusted relationships with regional teams to identify trends and provide proactive support.
- Supporting key employee lifecycle activities, including the Performance Management System and Annual Appraisal Cycle.
- Maintain up-to-date employee data in the HRIS System and HR Controlled Document Platform.
- Other projects and initiatives as directed by the wider People and Capability Function.
- Providing operational coverage for HR Business Partners.
About you

To be considered, you will demonstrate a strong work ethic with a willingness to uphold the AngloGold Ashanti Values. Along with these expectations the ideal candidate would ideally possess:
- At least 1 year in a HR/ ER Advisor role
- Generalist experience in all areas of the Human Resources discipline i.e., industrial relations, organisational development, training and development, remuneration and benefits
- Experience within the mining or related industry would be advantageous
- Relevant degree/ qualification in HR or other relevant qualification or related experience
- Permanent work rights in Australia
- Current C class Manual Driver’s License
- The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
