SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:
The successful candidate will either lead, collaborate, assist in the project design, construction, and execution of commissioning the Nevada Project site to an operating mine site.
Role accountabilities:
- Oversee project execution and manage contractors, construction workers and project team.
- Assist and/or development of proposals and cost estimates, including required equipment, materials, personnel or other associated peripheral services.
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor assigned engineering projects and manage projects within the constraints of time, cost, and scope.
- Responsibility for technical review of quotations and technical guidance to Projects Team.
- Review the full work scope on projects to ensure that it can be executed in a safe way and at a high-quality standard and if necessary, ensuring a risk assessment is available.
- Review technical standards and requirements, and where appropriate write job specific procedures, liaise with clients on all matters technical and schedule related.
- Perform review and audit activities on jobs including technical contract review, technical procedure review / audit, test readiness review and job close review.
- Provide regular progress reports for the projects managed.
- Report and present results, closing projects and invoicing, create and archive job packs for each project.
- Assist the Environmental/Permitting group as needed to obtain permits to prevent delays in construction, commissioning, and final handover to the operations.
Technical Competencies:
- Business Improvement, Asset Management resource planning a plus.
- Understanding of cost control and schedule management.
- Knowledge of the fundamentals of DROM (Design for Reliability, Operability, and Maintainability) and OR (Operational Readiness) principles preferred.
- Experience and/or knowledge that includes mining and the mining industry, a plus feasibility, prefeasibility and/or trade-off studies and engineering evaluations, mine design from development planning.

- Effective communicator who can maintain and foster positive relationships with public agencies, architects, engineers, permits/inspections departments, utility owners, and company employees.
- Use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.

- Excellent attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.
- Adaptable and flexible in approach.
- Ability to support the training of others to a high technical standard.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience in Engineering or related field required.
- Five (5) to Seven (7) years of experience of project planning or project management experience in the mining and/or construction industry, with an understanding of commissioning and handover to operations a plus.
REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint required.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiar with OR (Operational Readiness) practices and how to apply them preferred.
- Provide technical advice to regarding design, construction, program modification, or structural repairs.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically 4/10 schedule 6:00am to 4pm or as directed by the supervisor to include travel to and from the Beatty, Nevada site. Evening and weekend work may be required as job
duties demand. As per operational requirements.
COMPENSATION:
Base Salary Range $120,000 - $140,000
