OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
Support the Senior Training Officer (Mining) to ensure mining equipment training and skills transfer is effective, value-adding, and improves operator competence—while complying with all safety and environmental requirements.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Coordinate and administer ancillary mining equipment operator training per the training matrix and calendar.
- Deliver practical, field-based training and conduct operator skills assessments.
- Maintain accurate training records and LMS utilisation / record management.
- Compile training materials, conduct interventions, and evaluate learner performance (including legal requirements).
- Promote safe, secure training facilities, strong housekeeping, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare 3-month training schedules and weekly plans; support refresher and coaching programmes.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
- Completed secondary school education.
- Valid Tanzania Driver’s License (Class B, D, C, E).
- Training-the-Trainer certificate from a recognised institution would be advantageous
Experience
- 3–5 years’ experience in the mining industry.
- Experience in a mining training discipline.
Knowledge & Skills
- Knowledge of Tanzania’s Mining Act and relevant legislation.
- Knowledge of mining driving procedures.
