OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

Support the Senior Training Officer (Mining) to ensure mining equipment training and skills transfer is effective, value-adding, and improves operator competence—while complying with all safety and environmental requirements.

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Coordinate and administer ancillary mining equipment operator training per the training matrix and calendar.
• Deliver practical, field-based training and conduct operator skills assessments.
• Maintain accurate training records and LMS utilisation / record management.
• Compile training materials, conduct interventions, and evaluate learner performance (including legal requirements).
• Promote safe, secure training facilities, strong housekeeping, and continuous improvement.
• Prepare 3-month training schedules and weekly plans; support refresher and coaching programmes.

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

Education & Qualification

• Completed secondary school education.
• Valid Tanzania Driver’s License (Class B, D, C, E).
• Training-the-Trainer certificate from a recognised institution would be advantageous

Experience

• 3–5 years’ experience in the mining industry.
• Experience in a mining training discipline.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of Tanzania’s Mining Act and relevant legislation.
• Knowledge of mining driving procedures.
