Group Strategic Planning (GSP) adds value to AGA through providing strategic insights into individual assets, the assessment of major external investment opportunities & improved decision making across the Portfolio.

To achieve our objectives, GSP requires strong Engagement Leads to work with teams across AGA to deliver activities such as Strategic Asset Reviews (SAR), technical Due Diligence (DD) exercises, and the annual Strategic Options Workshop (SOW).  In addition to LOM strategic mine planning insights, the results from this analysis also inform shorter term Brownfields exploration and SIB capital spend priorities.

A GSP Engagement Lead will apply experience in operations, major project studies and a sound understanding of mining economic evaluation & optimization related techniques to each engagement.

They will work with the client SVP’s (i.e. BU, BD, Global Projects, GFX), their teams and key stakeholders from throughout AGA to define a clear purpose for each engagement, and develop a fit-for purpose scope and approach to deliver the objectives to schedule/budget.

They will build and lead teams based on the subject matter experts (SME’s) required to deliver scope/schedule for each engagement.  Teams are likely to change based on scope requirements and will often be made up of SME’s from outside of GSP.  The team will report to the GSP Engagement Lead (dotted line) for the duration of the engagement.
