The Director of Financial Consolidation & Reporting leads the AGA Group’s global consolidation and external reporting processes using Hyperion Financial Management (HFM). This critical leadership role ensures the absolute integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of consolidated financial data under both US GAAP and IFRS. As a key partner to regional finance leaders, executive stakeholders, and external auditors, you will maintain a world-class financial reporting environment that supports our dual-reporting requirements and public company obligations.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual consolidation processes across all global subsidiaries, joint ventures, and equity-accounted investments.
- Ensure all operating and financial results comply fully with both US GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Oversee consolidation journals, complex intercompany eliminations, foreign currency translations, minority interest calculations, and equity accounting adjustments.
- Serve as the Group Account Owner for assigned accounts; perform rigorous analytical reviews of commentaries, appendices, and HFM data.
- Drive the preparation and review of annual and quarterly financial statements, including disclosures, SEC filings, and other regulatory submissions.
- Continuously evaluate and accelerate the financial close process to minimize reworks, reduce overruns, and implement automation strategies.
- Maintain an airtight internal control environment (SOX compliance) and serve as the primary liaison for external auditors.
- Support major corporate transactions, M&A activity, and strategic financial initiatives.
- Manage, mentor, and elevate the financial consolidation team through structured performance and talent management programs.
- Build trusted relationships with regional finance leaders across multiple geographies to resolve cross-team bottlenecks.
- Model the Group’s core values, championing a professional, collaborative, and high-performance culture.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Active CPA, CA(SA), or equivalent professional designation is required.
- Minimum 8–10 years of progressive financial reporting experience.
- At least 3–5 years within a multinational, publicly listed corporate environment (Mining or natural resources industry experience heavily preferred).
- Proven expertise leading consolidations under both US GAAP and IFRS.
