Objective of the role
The incumbent will be accountable for Compliance in Egypt.
Education & Qualifications
- Diploma/ Degree in relevant field.
- Experience with US FCPA and/or UK Bribery Act Compliance programs at a global organisation will be highly advantageous.
General Knowledge & Experience
- A minimum of 5 years relevant Compliance experience with professional knowledge of the area of Compliance and management of Compliance programs.
- Experience in conducting Compliance and whistleblowing investigations is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication (written and spoken), presentation, organisation and administration skills.
- Fluency in English and Arabic is a key requirement of this role.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office packages - Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Role Accountabilities
Whistleblowing and investigation of compliance incidents or violations
- Conduct and assist with Compliance and whistleblowing investigations.
- Assist with management of in-country whistleblowing reports.
Compliance Training and Communication
- Management of online and face to face Compliance training.
- Manage and maintain compliance communication program for the country, including communicating key compliance messaging to the country/site, including on Code of Business Principles and Ethics and other relevant AGA policies and standards.
Declarations
- Management of site/country declarations in relation to conflicts of interest, gifts, hospitality and sponsorships, political activities.
- Monitor and assess “integrity” of management actions when approving or disallowing.
Reporting
- Compilation of reporting for relevant committees such as Audit and Risk Committee and support with external Company reporting, including the compilation and aggregation of Compliance data in relation to Conflicts of Interest Declarations, Gifts, Responsible Sourcing, legal registers, training, etc.
Third parties and Agents and Intermediaries
- Co-ordinate, manage and monitor third party due diligence, including (i) suppliers/vendors (ii) agents/ intermediaries, and (iii) potential Directors; (iv) JV partners (v) project partners (vi) CSI projects (vii) other ad hoc requests.
- Implement AGA procedures in relation to appointment and vetting of Agents and intermediaries, and maintenance of in-country register.
Books and Records: Government Officials
- Assist in compiling, auditing, and reviewing the relevant registers and documentation supporting payments to government officials and ensuring accurate and accurately reported in AGA books and records.
Combined Assurance Audits
- Participate and provide input into Combined Assurance Audits.
Advice on Compliance and Ethics matters
- Provide guidance and advice to staff on all compliance and ethics related matters.
Remuneration
As per the AGA salary scales.
