About the Role
Key Responsibilities
Reliability & Maintenance Strategy
- Develop and implement reliability‑centered maintenance (RCM) programs for critical assets.
- Establish and optimize preventive and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Maintain and improve asset hierarchy and data integrity within the CMMS (e.g., SAP, Pronto, Maximo).
- Analyze equipment performance data to identify failure trends and improvement opportunities.
- Develop lifecycle management strategies for major mechanical assets and systems.
Technical Engineering Support
- Provide engineering expertise for pumps, conveyors, gearboxes, crushers, mills, and rotating equipment.
- Lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
- Conduct and interpret vibration analysis, oil analysis, thermography, and condition‑monitoring data.
- Track failure modes and implement targeted reliability improvements.
- Support commissioning activities and performance testing of new equipment.
Compliance, Safety & Standards
- Ensure maintenance and reliability practices meet MSHA and site safety standards.
- Uphold AGA values, policies, and compliance obligations while contributing to a safe working environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
- Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) preferred.
- Five (5) to seven (7) years of mechanical or reliability engineering experience in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial operations.
- Experience supporting studies, EPCM execution, and plant commissioning.
- Proficiency with asset management and CMMS platforms.
- Strong understanding of FMEA, RCM principles, and reliability engineering processes.
- Experience analyzing and troubleshooting mechanical and rotating equipment.
- Strong data analysis abilities to identify patterns, failure trends, and required interventions.
- Strong awareness of safety, health, and environmental standards.
- Ability to work independently within defined methods and standards.
- Effective collaborator with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to mentor others and contribute to a positive, high‑performance team environment.
- Capable of managing multiple priorities and offering well‑reasoned engineering recommendations.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Access to equipment performance data, capital plans, production metrics, and maintenance cost data.
