What you will be doing
Your day starts by diving into category strategies, helping shape how AGAA sources key goods and services to meet business needs. You’ll coordinate sourcing activities by managing Tenders, RFPs, and RFQs while carefully evaluating supplier proposals and supporting negotiations to secure the best value.
Collaboration is key, so you’ll spend time working closely with internal stakeholders and suppliers, ensuring everyone is aligned on quality, cost, and delivery expectations. You’ll monitor supplier performance, quickly addressing any issues to maintain strong partnerships.
Compliance is never overlooked, you’ll make sure all procurement activities follow AGAA’s policies and governance frameworks. Throughout the day, you’ll also support contract management tasks, from contract award through to renewal, keeping everything on track.
Finally, you’ll keep an eye out for opportunities to streamline sourcing processes and improve value, contributing to continuous improvement efforts that benefit the whole supply chain.
About You
People are at the heart of everything we do in our Supply Chain. We want you to collaborate with us, share your ideas, and feel confident to challenge the status quo. To be considered for this role, you will demonstrate the following attributes:
- You bring a minimum of 2 – 4 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or category management, ideally within Mining industry.
- Understand end-to-end sourcing and the critical role that category management and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) play in driving operational excellence.
- You have strong analytical skills, with the ability to dive into data, spot trends, and make informed decisions.
- Communication comes naturally to you. You build and nurture relationships with suppliers and stakeholders effortlessly and professionally.
- You’re an organised and detail-oriented person. Keeping track of multiple projects without missing a beat.
- You thrive working both independently and as part of a collaborative team. You understand the value of sharing knowledge and supporting your supply chain family.
- You’re familiar with procurement policies, governance, and compliance, and take pride in doing things the right way.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SAP and other supply chain or procurement systems to efficiently manage sourcing processes, track spend, and maintain accurate data.
- A tertiary qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field is preferred. Professional certifications like CIPS are a bonus.
