The Opportunity
 

We currently have a great opportunity for a Senior : Planning & Performance to join the Finance team for our Australian region.  This is a hybrid style position where you will work one week on site and one week in our Perth Office
Tropicana 4/3 and Perth 5/2.

 

Accountable to the Director: Performance and Planning, this role is responsible for developing budgets and forecast for Open Pit Mining cost and acting as a key custodian of the commercial processes with our mining alliance partners.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Develop budget, forecasts, and performance reports. Keep management informed of budget variances to plans, identified risks and risk management plans.
  • Build and continuously improve the Alliance Contract Management and Review system for the Mining Alliance.
  • Drive and set the standard for permissible commercial processes within the alliance, providing framework, tools, and subject matter expertise to support the Full Potential Program.
  • Key member of the Alliance Management Team (AMT) and co - ordinate the Annual Rate Review (ARR) process with our alliance partners.
  • Contribute to organizational capability within the commercial and mining improvement functions through stakeholder engagement and advisory support. 

 

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in a mining industry related discipline (Finance or Engineering) or equivalent operational experience – (Planning knowledge desirable)
  • 2 - 5 years mining industry experience preferably within in commercial or engineering function.
  • Proficient level of computer knowledge in Microsoft Suite inclusive of Office & Project
  • Strong capability in Mining cost modelling
  • A broad range of mining competencies encompassing mine design, scheduling, mining systems, business planning, financial analysis, and an understanding of Open Pit Mining.
  • Full work rights in Australia (Mandatory)
  • A National Police Clearance
