SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE OF ROLE:

AngloGold Ashanti is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Scheduler to join our dynamic team. The Scheduler will play a pivotal role in the planning and execution of construction projects by developing and maintaining detailed project schedules, coordinating activities, and ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction project management, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

• Develop and Maintain Project Schedules: Create detailed construction schedules using industry-standard software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) and update them regularly to reflect project progress and changes.
• Coordinate with Project Teams: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to gather necessary information, assess project requirements, and ensure all team members are informed of schedule expectations and changes.
• Monitor Project Progress: Track project milestones, deliverables, and critical path activities. Identify potential delays and provide proactive solutions to keep the project on track.
• Communicate with Stakeholders: Maintain clear and consistent communication with all stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, schedule changes, and potential risks.
• Documentation: Maintain comprehensive records of project schedules, changes, and progress reports. Ensure all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
• Continuous Improvement: Evaluate scheduling processes and tools, recommending and implementing improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Technical skills and Knowledge:

• In depth knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, Critical Path Method (CPM), Earned Value Management (EVM), Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, Project Management, or a related field preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in construction scheduling, preferably in a similar industry.
• Primavera Experience Required
• AACE or PMI Professional Scheduling Certification preferred.

REQUIRED GENERAL KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. High level of accuracy and attention to detail in schedule creation and maintenance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6.
• Experience in Multi-Project master scheduling.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5pm. Evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. As per operational requirements.

COMPENSATION:

Base Salary Range $90,000 - $105,000
