We are now seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Planner to join our Maintenance team at Sunrise Dam on a site-based 4/3 or 8/6 FIFO roster from Perth.

Accountable to the Superintendent of Reliability, Planning and Shutdowns, this permanent position is responsible for guiding the Maintenance Planning team to achieve an effective & efficient planning process. Continually update and improve SAP master data to ensure accurate budget information as well as an efficient work management process in turn reducing plant downtime.

 

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and optimise work management processes to provide effective planning, scheduling, and resourcing and deliver quality plans to support maintenance strategies.
  • Apply planning principles to forecast maintenance budget, operating schedules, and cost reduction initiatives. 
  • Continuously update maintenance strategies in SAP to ensure accurate primary zero-based budget components.
  • Regularly review actual costs against the budget to enhance cost awareness and prevent overspending.
  • Generate and analyse annual Zero-Based Budget (ZBB) reports to provide critical input for maintenance budget planning.
  • Develop and implement cost forecasting models to predict future expenditures, optimise resource allocation, and support strategic financial planning.
  • Identifying process and metric variances and action to prevent recurrence and optimise the planning process.
  • Contribute to the building of organisational capability within the maintenance team and other teams to successfully deliver the overall execution of the work plan.
  • Interact daily with stakeholders to interpret their needs and requirements, engaging with regional support teams such as legal, commercial and supply chain to achieve project outcomes and working to ensure resolution of any issues.
  • Demonstrate personal safety leadership and deliver compliance with site HSE&C Policies, management systems and procedures.

About You

  • Qualification in a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Trade or similar.
  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management (frontline management) desirable.
  • Extensive experience with SAP Master data experience
  • Experience in a Senior/Supervisory role is desirable.
  • Previous experience with a strong technical knowledge in large scale mineral processing environment.
  • Previous experience in maintenance planning role
  • Development and management of Operational and Capital budgets
  • Demonstrated experience in Work Management principles and KPI Management
  • Management of small capital projects
  • Lifecycle and long term Planning
  • Implementing cost control initiatives
  • Projects and contractor management
  • Current WA Driver’s License
  • A National Police Clearance
  • Permanent work rights in Australia
