We are now seeking a Shutdown Planner/Scheduler to join our Maintenance team at Tropicana Gold Mine.

Accountable to the Shutdown Coordinator, this role is part of a small and close-knit team and is responsible for collaborating with planners to create a schedule for the execution of planned shutdowns.

This role is offered on an 4/3 FIFO roster flying from Perth or Kalgoorlie, however, flexible variations in the roster will be considered.

Accountabilities:

  • Extracting data from the system to help to determine the labour, resources and timeline required for planned shutdowns
  • Delivery quality work packs for contractors to successfully execute planned works
  • Liaise with internal and external supervisors and management to ensure sound knowledge of upcoming scheduled work
  • Providing support to the Shutdown Planners in planning activities during preparation process
  • Effectively chair weekly shutdown scheduling meetings to identify business risks, maintenance requirements and continuous improvement opportunities
  • Prepare KPI reports to measure shutdown process compliance, schedule completion and identify variance to plans.
  • Identify and apply improvement initiatives for scheduling processes, systems, and procedures.
  • Apply scheduling principles and assist to forecast maintenance budget, operating & shutdown schedules, and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, and environmental responsibility, delivering compliance with SHE&C plans, management systems and processes

 

About You

  • Demonstrated experience in using Microsoft Project and SAP
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organisation
  • Previous experience in the Mining industry, preferably in a Shutdown Planning or Scheduling role
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a group and team environment
  • High level of commitment to safety, quality and teamwork
  • Prior experience in using PalmCrest is desirable but not essential
  • Previous exposure and ability to use Excel would be highly regarded
  • A current WA ‘C’ class drivers license
  • Ability to obtain a National Police Clearance
  • Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia is mandatory
