We are now seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to join our Engineering Maintenance team at Sunrise Dam Gold Mine.

Role Purpose:

To maintain and improve availability of plant by designing, implementing and optimising effective maintenance strategies and conducting equipment performance investigations to minimise cost and maximise production capacity of the processing plant

Accountable to the Superintendent : Maintenance Planning, this role will ensure a high level focus on application of plant asset management principles. The functions of reliability assessment, failure mode analysis, condition monitoring and associated reporting and actions form part of this role, providing an integrated approach to plant asset management. 

The role is also accountable for the reliability team function and processes.
Our assets include Surface fixed plant, Underground plant (U/G) and Non-Processing Infrastructure (NPI).

This is a permanent position based at our Sunrise Dam Gold Mine on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster. Where we operate direct flights and quick commute to our sites from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

Accountabilities

  • Develop the asset strategy plan for the Sunrise Dam, managing the reliability program and developing the plan for completing reliability monitoring work across fixed plant
  • Build organisational capability (people, structure, systems, process) within the reliability team to deliver the Sunrise Dam budget and life of asset management plan.
  • Plan required inputs for Maintenance planning department in regard to preventative maintenance
  • Identify reliability projects on identified areas of the plant as identified from root cause analysis
  • Implementation and optimisation of processes and standards for Asset Management of plant equipment and preventive maintenance. 
  • Lead Preventive Maintenance Optimisation (PMO) program in reviewing data available from downtime database, SCADA system, SAP history and vendor/employee expertise to prepare and facilitate PMO workshops for developing/improving maintenance strategies with planners in reviewing Task Instructions; part of the Corporate Full Asset Potential initiative
  • Identify improvement opportunities during day-to-day activities. Some may be addressed short-term, and some would require planning and coordination, such as leading minor reliability projects - trials
  • Provide monthly reliability reporting and perform ad-hoc presentations
  • Develop and maintain good relationships with maintenance execution, planning, production, metallurgy, warehouse, inventory, procurement and vendors

About You

  • Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or equivalent
  • Experience with gold plant crushing, milling and leaching processes and equipment
  • Competent in contract administration and cost control
  • Previous exposure to computer based ERP systems, with a strong preference for SAP
  • Proficient in process control and SCADA systems
  • Familiarity with the WA Mines Safety and Inspection Act and Regulations
  • People Leadership capability highly regarded
  • Lubrication and Total Fluids Management
  • Condition Monitoring techniques and strategies
  • Proficient with Excel and excellent report writing and presentation skills
  • Current WA Drivers Licence, A National Police Clearance, Existing and ongoing Permanent work rights in Australia (Mandatory)
