At Sunrise Dam Gold Mine we currently have an opening for a Processing Technician : Gold Room. This permanent role is on an 8 days on/6 days off FIFO roster, with a quick commute to site and camp.

Reporting to the Senior Specialist Production Metallurgy, the Technician is responsible for the day to day operation of all gold recovery sections of the processing plant along with running of the gold room.

Accountabilities

• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot the gravity circuit including Knelson concentrators and Acacia reactor
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot the elution circuit including loaded and barren carbon screening, acid wash and elution columns and regeneration kiln
• Operate, monitor and troubleshoot gold room processes including electrowinning, calcining and pouring
• Perform general routine maintenance and housekeeping tasks for the safe and efficient operation of each circuit
• Routine sampling across each circuit and accurate and timely recordkeeping of gold concentrate, bullion and samples
• Strict adherences to all site security requirements for the handling of gold bearing material and bullion
• Establish effective working relationships with processing, maintenance, metallurgy and laboratory personnel
  
  

About you

• Previous experience held in a gold room and the operation of fixed plant equipment
• Current C Class drivers licence
• Proficiency in Microsoft suites including Excel, Word and Teams
• Familiarity with Citect or similar process control systems
• Exposure to SAP maintenance and materials systems 
• Naturally demonstrate behaviours consistent with our AngloGold values with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
