We are currently seeking a qualified Mechanical Fitter to join our busy Maintenance Team at our Tropicana. Accountable to the Supervisor: Mechanical Maintenance.
A quick commute to site. This role is on a lifestyle 8 days on /6 days off FIFO roster, where we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.
Role Purpose:
To maintain the mechanical equipment and associated fixed plant infrastructure to maximise availability in a
sustainable cost effective manner for the process plant and associated infrastructure.
Accountabilities
- Carrying out maintenance tasks in the mill area as directed by Maintenance Supervisors and other leaders
- Maintaining crushers, conveyor systems, pumps, pipe work, ball mill, concentrators, vibrating screens & feeders, cranes & hoists, cyclones and all associated tanks, launders and steelworks. The tasks involved in maintaining this equipment will include, but not necessarily be limited to, fitting, machining, preventative maintenance checks, inspections and fabrication.
- Carry out Mechanical Maintenance tasks on other areas including the Accommodation Village, Mine and Bore Fields.
- Availability to work a nightshift on a roster basis to respond to any equipment breakdowns.
- Assist with shutdown co-ordination and execution.
About You

- A trade qualification: Mechanical trade certificate e.g Fitter/ Fitter Machinist / LV Mechanic
- Previous experience held in the maintenance of mineral processing or other automated industrial equipment.
- The ability to work with noise, dust, elevated work areas, confined work areas, extremes of temperature, water, slurry.
- Be a team player and work cohesively with the multi-faceted trade team
- Computer and system literacy
- Current WA C Class Drivers Licence.
- Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (mandatory).
- Ability to obtain a current National Police Clearance.
