We are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant to join our Business Support and Finance team at Tropicana Gold Mine. Reporting to the Mine Accountant, this position plays a key role in providing site-wide accounts support, including processing purchase requisitions, service entries, and end-of-month finance activities.
This role is offered on an 8/6 roster, with direct flights to site from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie. Flexible working arrangements will also be considered for this position.
About the Role
- Provide site-wide purchase requisition and service entry support to operational personnel.
- Monitor invoices and liaise with managers regarding payment approvals and accounts payable matters.
- Prepare accruals for services received but not yet invoiced.
- Assist with month-end tasks and journal entries.
- Complete general ledger account reconciliations.
- Provide monthly cost reports to operational personnel.
- Coordinate the timely completion of weekly and monthly reports.
- Maintain SOX control files and ensure compliance with management systems and processes.
- Undertake ad hoc tasks as directed.
- Coordinate and support the gold shipments
- Monitor and maintain site wide fuel dispensing systems

About You

- Good understanding of basic accounting practices.
- Previous experience with SAP requisitioning, service entries, and purchase order analysis is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other departments to achieve business goals.
- Previous mine site experience would be beneficial; however, it is not essential.
- Previous experience dealing with audits and audit preparation.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Unrestricted work rights in Australia.
- Full manual C-Class license
