We are now seeking a Mechanical Fitter to join our NPI team at Tropicana Gold Mine, reporting to the Supervisor: Projects and Infrastructure. This role is on an 8/6 FIFO roster, with direct flights to site from Perth and Kalgoorlie.

 

About the Role

 

  • Carry out fixed plant maintenance tasks in the bore fields and associated areas, as directed by the Water Services Supervisor
  • Maintain transfer and submersible pumps, pipework, and all associated dams and infrastructure
  • Install and remove submersible pumps, headworks, valving, and flow control equipment
  • Carry out the installation of new equipment or modifications to existing equipment, and assist with minor to moderate projects within the department as required
  • Ensure all activities are effective through cross-functional liaison and teamwork, in accordance with the professional standards established by the Maintenance team

 

About You

  • Qualified Mechanical Fitter; other trades will be considered
  • Experience in the maintenance of submersible and transfer pumps
  • Experience working on a Bore Retrieval Trailer (desirable)
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic experience (desirable)
  • HDPE welding experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of SAP systems (desirable)
  • Basic computer and software skills
  • A self-starter with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and teamwork
  • HR driver’s licence
  • Current WA “C” Class driver’s licence
  • Existing and ongoing permanent working rights in Australia (mandatory)
