We are now seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our surface and underground Maintenance and Engineering team based at our Tropicana Gold Mine. This is a permanent role, offered on a 4 days on / 3 days off FIFO roster, where we operate direct flights to our sites from Perth and/or Kalgoorlie.

 

Role Purpose

 

Responsible for delivering electrical and instrumentation designs, managing external contractors and consultants, and providing technical support for on-site execution of capital and maintenance projects within the Maintenance and Engineering department.

 

Accountabilities

 

  • Carry out electrical and instrumentation design for capital and maintenance projects
  • Manage external electrical and instrumentation design consultants
  • Ensure all design work conforms to all statutory requirements and applicable national standards
  • Lead on-site execution contractors
  • Development & overseeing cost, schedule and scope for OPEX and CAPEX initiatives
  • Provide engineering troubleshooting support and advice for electrical and instrumentation infrastructure across site

 

About You

  • Tertiary Qualifications in Engineering, preferably a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering or equivalent relevant experience
  • Extensive relevant industry experience involved in site-based projects, preferably in a maintenance environment
  • Drafting experience with Autodesk
  • Excellent time management and organisation skills
  • Capability to manage multiple projects in accordance with agreed budgets and schedules
  • The ability to obtain a National Police Clearance.
  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Current C class Manual Drivers Licence.
