The AGA Africa Business Unit is seeking experienced and self-motivated persons to join our team.

 

The Opportunity 

To support the implementation of talent management processes, succession planning, and development programs within the Africa Business Unit (BU), aligning with the strategic direction set by the Regional Lead – Manager – Culture and Capability, Talent & Culture. 

Support data-driven talent decisions by leveraging analytics and insights to inform workforce planning, talent pipeline health, and program effectiveness.

 

 

Accountabilities

 

Talent Management & Succession Support

  • Assist in implementing the BU talent and succession planning framework in alignment with global standards.
  • Collaborate with HR Business Partners and site leaders to identify talent gaps and support action planning.
  • Track the development and readiness of successors for critical roles across the BU.


Talent Development & Mobility Talent Development & Mobility

  • Support the rollout and coordination of graduate, early-career, and leadership development programs.
  • Work with Capability and Development Leads to ensure initiatives meet BU learning needs.
  • Assist with talent mobility planning and tracking, working closely with site and functional HR teams.


Talent Data & Reporting

  • Maintain and update talent records and dashboards using OneHR platforms as the single source of truth.
  • Analyze talent trends and provide summaries to support regional talent reviews and leadership discussions.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for talent interventions and prepare evaluation reports.

 


Stakeholder Engagement & Advisory

  • Serve as a talent tools advisor to HR and line leaders across functions.
  • Provide guidance and coaching on the use of talent systems and career development tools.
  • Participate in BU and site-level talent review sessions as needed.


Continuous Improvement

  • Support benchmarking activities related to talent practices and program effectiveness.
  • Provide feedback on talent frameworks and processes to inform ongoing enhancements.
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and best practice dissemination across the Talent & Culture network.

 


Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (IDE)Inclusion, Diversity & Equity (IDE)

  • Track and report IDE data to support business unit talent decisions.
  • Support the rollout of awareness initiatives and inclusion campaigns across sites.
  • Integrate IDE considerations into talent and succession processes.

 


Graduate Trainee Program

  • Coordinate the execution of graduate rotations and onboarding activities.
  • Track performance and learning milestones of trainees.
  • Support program reviews and feedback collection for continuous improvement.

 


Retirement & Succession Planning

  • Maintain retirement tracking data and flag succession risks.
  • Support planning for knowledge transfer and transition in critical roles.
  • Assist with retirement readiness activities and post-retirement engagement opportunities.

 


About You

Qualifications

 

  •  Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, Business, or related field.
  • Additional HR certifications will be an advantage 

 

Experiences

  • 5–7 years of experience in HR, with a focus on talent or learning and development.
  • Experience working across multiple business sites or in a matrix environment is an advantage.
  • Dynamic, pragmatic, and adaptive.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, negotiation skills, interpersonal skills/emotional intelligence
