Objective

The role is responsible for Digital Technology governance, it ensures the documentation, articulation and execution of DT risk management, including the ownership of risk mitigation, controls (including global policies and standards) and the validation across the Operational Technology (OT),  and where required also the IT domain. Ensures adherence to regulatory compliance requirements. Scale: True global reach, interactions covering all levels (including executive levels), Management of risk with a value of over $5m. Collaborate with Technology executive leadership in setting up governance structures within the Technology organisation in line with King IV requirements around OT Governance. Develop a framework and roadmap for compliance on OT laws by assessing the level of compliance within the AGA globally, in each of AGA operating jurisdiction.

Education & Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in IT / OT related fields preferred.
• Other relevant Engineering or GRC (Governance, Risk Management, Compliance) related qualifications will be considered.
• Certifications preferred but not required: Management Advanced Programme (MAP), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) , Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), MDP / MBA or equivalent management qualification

Experience

• At least 10 years+  of relevant OT environment experience
• Experience in a related technical field (OT Governance, OT Risk Management and OT Compliance) is beneficial

Technical & Functional

• Risk management, including collaborating on, and instigation of global policies, procedures and validation methodologies
• Deep experience with budgeting and financial management, including that of a wider team, ensuring precision and good planning in managing the performance of a large department
• Knowledge and use of industry-standard management methods, tools and techniques, budget templates, communication plans, status update reports, etc
• Experience in delivery that includes the use of external supplier and offshore resources
• OT Governance Processes (and Framework
• OT Risk Management Methodology and Frameworks, OT Audit Principles

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills (including difficult negotiation)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills - must be able to communicate fluently in English both verbally and in writing

Role Accountabilities

• Ensuring the team is working within the defined governance processes at all levels of the technology organization
• Global DT governance: Executing risk management processes to ensure all material risks are responsibly identified and managed, including owning global controls and validation processes
• Contribute to global policies and standards, along with adherence and mediation
• Proactively managing global leader stakeholder in a matrixed organization; developing a trust advisor and teaming approach
• Designing and implementing the OT Frameworks within Digital Technology
• Entrenched and rolled out the AGA Group Risk (ISO 31000) and BowTie methodology within the Digital Technology Organisation.
• Educate Digital Technology Managers on relevant OT frameworks and facilitate OT assessment globally within Digital Technology
• Monitor and report on OT risks, flagging OT risks that present business exposure beyond the threshold (risk appetite).
• Assess the exposure level of business operations on OT systems and review OT Resilience as part of the overall Business Continuity Management Framework.
• Engage with the CISO function to ensure cyber security risks are assessed as part of the overall risk assessment.
