OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE
- To monitor conveyor belt operations and remove foreign materials from the feed to prevent chute blockages and support the effective functioning of the crushing circuit.
ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Monitor conveyor belts and inspect discharge and receiving chutes to support safe and effective operations.
- Report conveyor belt deviations, including roller issues, to the supervisor and control room operator, and record deviations in the daily logbook.
- Inspect dust suppression systems and complete working area inspections and checklists.
- Maintain good housekeeping standards in the work area.
- Take hourly CVR-12 weight meter readings for the control operator.
- Monitor primary crusher shaft position for appropriate feed size and remove metals trapped by the metal detector and trap magnet.
ROLE REQUIREMENTS
Education & Qualification
- O’ level, A’ level, Middle School Leaving Certificate, HND, SSCE or equivalent.
- Computer literate.
Experience
- 1-3 years’ experience in a crushing plant.
Knowledge & Skills
- Ability to operate SCADA or PLC-based systems.
- Ability to monitor alarms, trends, and plant performance.
- Ability to adjust parameters remotely for optimal efficiency.
- Ability to respond quickly to system warnings.
- Strong reliability and attention to detail.
- Commitment to safe work practices and effective teamwork.
