ANGLOGOLD ASHANTI (IDUAPRIEM) LIMITED (A subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti Limited) operate the combine Teberebie and Iduapriem open-pits gold mines at Tarkwa in the Western Region of Ghana and has a work force of over 1400, including contractors.

OBJECTIVE OF THE ROLE

 

To assist mine surveyors and leading hands in carrying out survey assigned tasks.

 

 

ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES

 

  • Assist to carry out daily pit face pick-ups and stake TBMs on all mining faces.
  • Assist staking out pit designs and ore mark outs as required.
  • Assist setting out and picking up points for Geology exploration and RC grade control drilling.
  • Assist to carry out stockpiles surveys as and when required.
  • Assist to carry out farm surveys and line cutting projects.
  • Assist setting out ground control points for drone flights.

 

 

ROLE REQUIREMENTS

 

Education & Qualification

  • Diploma or Certificate in Surveying or its related discipline from a recognized institution.

 

Experience

 Minimum of 1-3 years working experience in mine survey or similar environment.

 

Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficiency in the use of survey equipment mainly total station and GPS.
  • Good knowledge in UAV, Mining Surveying Processes and Practices.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Software (Excel and Access) and data management.
  • High level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills.
  • Possess a valid driver’s license and proficiency in driving light vehicle.
